Current exhibition
There are no temporary exhibitions at the moment, but the next exhibition, ‘Ecran total. Corinne Vionnet’ will open on 1 February. But this is an opportunity to discover the new additions to the permanent exhibition.
We are presenting a display of pastels from our collections in the Gauguin cabinet on level 3. New acquisitions are on show for the first time!
The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Quimper is also exceptionally lending part of its Pont-Aven collection to our museum.
The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Quimper has closed its doors for several months as part of a major renovation project. Against this backdrop, the Musée de Pont-Aven is hosting a selection of works from the Pont-Aven School period in order to continue to make this much-awaited collection accessible to the public.
Twelve works by artists from the Pont-Aven School period have been included in a regularly changing display in the permanent exhibition at the Musée de Pont-Aven, on level 3. This is an opportunity to create a dialogue between the works in the two collections, and to encourage the public to (re)discover the collections of both museums.
Paul Gauguin’s pilgrimage gourd is presented alongside works by Paul Sérusier, Félix Vallotton, Emile Bernard, Paul Ranson, Georges Lacombe and Maurice Denis.
